what has changed? Why am I so open with the information that
I’ve always kept very, very hush-hush?
Technology
has changed. Software has become more user-friendly. There are less
chances to mess-up and greater chances of getting it right.
The
software is more forgiving and more intuitive. Even if you’re
not quite sure how to prepare the files for Process seps, the
computer can make that change for you on the fly.
Heck!
My clients are even getting smarter!! Clients can now prepare their
own files and the job can lightly skip through the system. The sun
comes up bright and shining and it only rains at night. Oh wait,
sorry, wrong dream.
OK
my point is that with a little coaching this CAN be done on your own
computer. Remember, the computer is only a machine and the person
still needs to know what’s going on in a few areas. So, read up
on file prepping, read my other articles on how to make a pdf, etc.
I
have to laugh. It wasn’t too long ago I had to explain how to
double-click. Parents (and grandparents) would ask the 5 year old
living in the house how to navigate around the desktop--yes, you
remember too, don’t you.
