Goals: Move your Feet! Start Dancing!

“Opportunity dances with those already on the dance floor.”

H. Jackson Brown, Jr. quotes (American best-selling writer, author of Life’s Little Instruction Book)

I received this quote the other day. It had an impact on me. Sort of fits in with a similar quote (paraphrased) God can direct your feet if you’re moving them, but can’t if you’re standing still.

One friend of mine told me that no matter what I do, I should be in control of me. Even if you are employed by someone, you can have your own goals, direction, incentives, etc.

We all watch the news showing huge layoffs by industry giants as they downsize their operations. Some of you are now needing to set new goals in a new direction.

Move your feet! Start dancing!

Many of you authors are dancing already on the dance floor. Set your goals and get your book finished.

Start small, selling to your local stores, but consider the power of the internet. Amazon (as I’ve mentioned before) may not be the best profit margin out there, but it’s exposure!

Consider low cost books and following up each one with another, built upon the previous. Sell them individually and also offer them in a discounted 3 pack (you’ll need a new ISBN for individual items and a separate ISBN for the 3 pack as well).

Your customer gets a deal, you move product and more of your stories (and your name) get exposure.
