Preliminary Decisions:
a)
Sponsor, supervisor, decision makers, funding
b)
Scope: acestor to all descendants? Descendant back to four great-grandparents?
c)
Type of History: --reference book of data, anthology of life
stories, narration of whole family history
d)
Consider having several books: --genealogy, edited diary or letters, history
e)
Emphasis: inform? entertain? build faith? best stories?
f)
Final Product: photocopy? typeset? print? bind? sell?
g)
Timing: use flexible target date (most will take 2-5 yrs)
h)
Money: use voluneers as much as possible; expect costs for travel,
phone, photos, copies, etc. It is best to have wealthy relative fund
it, or sharing costs.
