Ethics
check: What would I do?
As
I process print bids and put together solutions to meet peoples
needs in accomplishing their print / publishing projects, I often
ask myself, What would I do? I like to bring it home as
though I were spending my own money, and ask Would I do this?
Is this a good deal?
I
consider this to be my ethic safety net in keeping your interests
first in mind. It helps me keep that customer service
edge to everything I do.
My
interest isnt just this one-time hit. Others will have you
sign a multi-book contract where you are locked in to returning with
your next 2 (or more) books. They might even call it a multi-book
discount. Ive never believed in locking in a customer in that
way. I believe that I should earn your next job with the job I have.
My goal is that when all is said and done, your satisfaction level is
such that you would return on your own free will and choice.
After
youve been through the experience and your book is printed and
in your hands, you WILL ask yourself, Was it worth it? My
goal is to have treated you (and your project) with such a level of
care and expertise that you will not only return, but will tell
others to bring their projects here as well.
Thats
when I will know that I succeeded in my goal.
A
quick thought: In this journey called life, we are all customers.
