Is
it a Good Time to become Published?
Yes,
now IS a good time to become a published author.
With
the recent economic downturn one might ask if it’s a good time
to enter the marketplace with a new title. Right now is a very good
time to become a published author. In another post I mentioned Maud
Montgomery’s dream being fulfilled in the publishing of Anne
of Green Gables. After a year of being in a hatbox, that
story’s time had come!
Consider
the option of picking up another job or your spouse entering the
workplace. You may want to ask a few questions; are jobs available in
your field or your spouse’s field? Are there any jobs available?
Are there children in the home that would complicate both spouses
working outside the home? I’m not advocating this as an option
to solve today’s economic crisis or your family’s financial
trials. However, pulling out the hatbox, dusting off the ol’
manuscript and becoming a published author in the next 10 days or so
might be worth looking into. It would take longer to drive around
town and fill out job applications than it would to become a
published author.
Your
dream’s time has come. Pull out your hatbox, make whatever
minor adjustments your fresh eyes might catch and let’s make YOU
a published author.
